In this video, I’ll show you what Ramadan is like in a Malaysian village, or kampong. We’re heading deep into Kelantan, one of Malaysia’s most culturally rich states, to experience Ramadan the way locals do. I visit Kampong Laut Mosque, said to be the oldest mosque in Malaysia, built entirely of wood without a single nail. As the sun sets, I join the villagers for iftar, breaking fast with a warm and welcoming community before heading to the mosque for Taraweeh prayers. But Ramadan in Malaysia doesn’t end there. I explore the vibrant streets of Kota Bharu at night, where the unique tradition of Moreh brings people together over late-night meals. I also try Colek, a must-have Ramadan snack that you can only truly experience in Malaysia. This is Ramadan like you’ve never seen before—authentic, spiritual, and full of hidden gems. Stay tuned for an unforgettable journey through the villages of Malaysia. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more unique travel experiences!
