The Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill of 2021 has received full support from the Ghanaian Parliament. The purpose of this bill is to make homosexuality and associated behaviour illegal. After a lengthy period of public debate and backing from many parties, all 275 members of parliament approved the legislation. The Constitutional and Legal Affairs Committee recommended passing the measure based on the presumed majority support among Ghanaians, despite the bill's legal difficulties. Concerns about the implications for human rights and the potential effects on Ghana's LGBTQ population have been raised on a national and international level as a result of this development. Host: Keminni Amanor Guests: 1. Malik Basintale, Deputy National Communication Director, National Democratic Congress (NDC), Accra-Ghana 2.
