A win-win-win alliance: Kersia & Farm Alert

Reduced animal mortality, stronger livelihoods, and safer, more sustainable communities. The health of farm animals and the income of smallholder farmers directly impact the wellbeing of millions of people. In Nigeria, Ashoka Fellow Femi Kayode’s organization, Farm Alert, has set up an alliance with Kersia to address limited access to water safety products and information. As a result, more than 11,000 farmers were reached last year through the alliance’s initiatives and 85% of participating farmers are currently prioritizing water safety solutions, reducing animal mortality, creating stronger livelihoods, and supporting safer, more sustainable communities.
