Sky News contributor Joe Siracusa says while Joe Biden is likely to win the November election, there is a clear disconnect between polling and the Democrats decision to continue pouring in resources to so-called "safe" states. “While everyone’s talking about how far Biden is ahead, the Democrats are spending time and money in the state of Pennsylvania trying to claw it back,” he said. “I’m beginning to think that these national polls don’t mean very much. “I see these polls this morning in the NBC, where Biden is up supposedly up 12-14 per cent.” However, the Gallup polls show 56 per cent of Americans say they are better off now than they were four years ago which is a higher rating than under Barack Obama or George Bush, Mr Siracusa said. “This might be a closer race than we thought". Mr Siracusa said former leading Democrats liked to talk about “a return to normalcy”. “Well what the hell is normal? It is the abnormal times that produced Donald Trump,” he said. “There’s something wrong in America and I think as you get closer to it, you’re going to figure it out.”
