https://billhartmanpt.com/ https://ifastuniversity.com/ Push-ups have been around a long time, so you’d think we’d know everything there is to know about them. Perhaps not. Today’s Q&A looks at push-ups differently, so that your coaching cues make more sense and exercise selection, in general, will improve. Hope your @neurocoffee is strong for this one. From Malti: Hi Bill, Thanks so much for a great call this morning. I have a question based on the discussion of pushups and IR force production. I’ve used tension/irradiation techniques, and the typical pushup coaching cues involve telling a client to "break the bar" or "peel the floor apart." While definitely a successful method of getting the abdominals involved, these tactics would seem to favor ER of the GH joint. Does this have implications on force production, and is there a better way to coach this, broadly speaking? Thank you! #pushups #shoulderpain #BillHartmanPT
