This was my attempt about three years ago at bringing out the true grandeur and spectacle of Sergei Bondarchuk's 1970 Napoleonic epic that low quality scans and uploads seem to lack. I must make it clear that I understand it is far from perfect. Some segments may have too much sharpening, whereas others have the blurring and warping of details where the AI is unable to extrapolate properly. I tried my best to mitigate these issues, separately upscaling over 370 segments of the film with custom settings. I would much prefer a high quality remaster of the original film negatives, but in the absence of that, this was my best attempt at an alternative. I've noticed a couple people have uploaded this film to YouTube recently, and so it felt right to finally try to get this out there. This film is what originally got me interested in the Napoleonic Era, and so, if having this uploaded here gives even just one person a deeper interest and love of history, then I will have done my duty. Edit: The English subs being inaccurate to the actual spoken dialogue was bothering me, so I've gone through and redone the subs to match what's actually being said to the best of my ability. There are some bits of dialogue that are near unintelligible to me, so I used my best judgement for what sounds roughly similar and would make sense in the context of the scene.
