** TODAY'S PUZZLE ** To say Simon loves this puzzle from Kaktuslav is an understatement. He had to record it a couple of days ago because of our Stratford event today (so do drop a comment if you went and if it wasn't dreadful!). The puzzle, Big Latin Y², is original and utterly brilliant from start to finish. We're not sure how hard it is yet but it's probably not simple. Shade some cells so that all shaded cells are orthogonally connected, all unshaded cells are orthogonally connected, and no 2×2 area is entirely shaded or entirely unshaded. Within each cage, the sum of the shaded digits equals the sum of the unshaded digits. Digits MAY repeat within a cage.
