Canada's Little North, a vast wilderness sprawling for over a million square kilometers in the northern reaches of Ontario and Manitoba. First nations, explorers and fur traders have long paddled these storied waters. Heading whispers of the past, we had set out several years ago in an attempt to retrace a long forgotten fur trade route. It was a trip that left a lasting mark, and the allure of return grew stronger with the passage of time.  Now, years later, we sought a continuation of that fateful adventure. Departing from where we ended our last odyssey we planned to embark on a 22 day expedition spanning 600km from rugged headwaters to the western terminus of this wild and unforgiving region. Few travel the remote waterways that crisscross this expansive wilderness, but those who do, are rewarded with unparalleled solitude and seclusion.
