Now, our boat, being quite light with not much keel, tends to dance a different dance during tide changes compared to other catamarans. Lo and behold, at the tide shift, we start pirouetting well before our neighboring boat, ending up a mere 10 meters away from a potential collision. With no soul aboard the nearby vessel, the responsibility falls on us to up anchor and reposition. After this anchoring escapade, we dive into another underwater adventure. Brace yourself for a nudibranch marathon, these tiny, elusive creatures putting on a show that's both mesmerizing and challenging to spot. But that's not all on the rarity scale – we encounter a leaf scorpionfish and an octopus, masters of disguise and usually the hide-and-seek champions of the ocean. Our journey then takes us to Sorong for a visa extension, a process that's far from a walk in the park. In this video, I spill the beans on the intricacies to help you navigate this bureaucratic maze. But hold on, the adventure doesn't stop there. Our next destination is Batanta, where a breathtaking waterfall awaits. The water might be a bit chilly, but the stunning scenery and the waterfall's versatility, offering everything from fun to a refreshing shower to tank refills, make it an absolute gem.
