ALL COSTS in DESCRIPTION! I solo trekked to Everest Base Camp on a budget of $300 but it can easily be done for less. Here is my full hike to Everest including costs, where I stayed, and the highlights of each day of the trek. If you want to see more details I have individual videos for each day of the trek in my Everest playlist. #namche #nepal #everest Approximate costs per day in USD 1. Jeep ride to Sellari $14 Roadside Lunch $2 Lodging and food in Sellari $8 2. Lodging, food, and water in Nunthala $6.50 3. Lodging and food in Bupsa (free wifi and water) $6.50 4. Lodging and food in Chaplung (free wifi and water) $10 5. Municipality trekking permit $16. Everest National Park Pass $24 (purchased in Kathmandu but can be purchased in Lukla) Lodging, food, device charging in Namche for 2 nights (free water) $18 6. Lodging and food in Shomari ( free water) $7 7. Food, lodging, internet, and water in Dingboche $11 8. Food, lodging, and water in Lobuche $10 9. Food, lodging, and water in Gorak Shep $10 10. Food and lodging in Namche $8 11. Food, lodging, and internet in Lukla $11 12. (Optional) Plane ticket from Lukla to Ramechepp $130 Van ride to Kathmandu $15 Total is $177 not including the optional flight back from Lukla. Total is $307 with the plane ticket included. The total for my trip from Kathmandu to Everest and back to Kathmandu was about $307 and including food and snacks I brought along was $315 USD. Most of my gear I brought from the US or got for free in a free box at my hostel in Kathmandu. I took along a lot of oats, peanut butter, Tang, nuts, and water purification drops to save money since food is one of the biggest costs and water isn't always free. Sometime lodging is free and your only cost is the food. You can also haggle a bit on prices at times as well. My largest cost was the return flight from Lukla with was optional. Hiking back to Sellari would have saved another $100 and would have likely included 2 nights food and lodging and a Jeep back to Kathmandu which would easily put the total for the trip under $200. If you want to see a more details of my trip please check out my Everest playlist that includes videos from each day of my trip. ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– 👇 About My Channel: Hi, I’m Cody — a budget traveler exploring the world through local food, history, and culture.
