夕暮れ時の八幡堀の春景色を撮影してきました。堀端の満開の桜並木が夕日に照らされる至極の時間です。 近江八幡市は、関白豊臣秀次が築いた城下町を基礎として、近世は商業都市として発展した近江商人の発祥の地です。八幡堀が町をめぐり、水運の街として発展した歴史の一面を、現在も色濃く残しています。 京都から電車で約30分で訪れられる、京の雅さとは一味違った落ち着いた中世の日本の雰囲気を感じられる場所です。 重要伝統的建造物群保存地区／ 滋賀県近江八幡市 ____________________________________________________ I have taken video of the spring scenery of Hachimanbori at dusk. It is a supreme time when the rows of cherry trees at the edge of the moat in full bloom are illuminated by the setting sun. Omi Hachiman City is the birthplace of the Omi merchants, who developed the city as a commercial center in the early modern period, based on the castle town built by Hidetsugu Toyotomi, the chief advisor to the Emperor. The Hachiman moat runs through the town, and the historical aspect of the city's development as a water transportation town is still strongly evident today. It is a place where you can feel the atmosphere of medieval Japan, different from the elegance of Kyoto, which can be visited in about 30 minutes by train from Kyoto.
