The first half of our Thanksgiving weekend was a major success (   • TEXAS RV ROAD TRIP | TEXAS HILL COUNTRY FO...  ), but we had to decide how we were going to spend the rest of it. We decided on the beautiful town of Marble Falls! 01:45 But first, we have one last night in Fredericksburg. We found the room in our stomachs for some more authentic German food and a few adult beverages. We stopped in the bar next door, Der Daiwel. Fun Fact: “der daiwel” translates to “the devil”, which may explain why it was (unexpected by us) a heavy metal bar. Rock on. We end our night with some music and new friends at the Pioneer Bar. It would take a long time to see everything Fredericksburg has to offer, and there is no way we won’t be back to visit! I can only hope we find more towns like this along our journey. Now to Marble Falls… 06:15 Marble Falls is another beautiful town in the Hill Country of Texas. The Historic Downtown is full of shops and restaurants. We were able to snag a spot where our RV backed up right on the water. The sunset over Lyndon B. Johnson was beautiful. We can say that we have never seen a beach with cacti on it. It was also interesting to see how the Adventure Puppies responded to the many deer that wander around the park. Since we missed out on the ice skating in Fredericksburg, we were excited that they also offered it here! For Thomas, ice skating came back just like riding a bike.
