MOTORHOME ALPS SPRING TOUR & CARTHAGO CITY

NEW SEASON - Video 1: We travel through France, stopping on a fantastic free Aire in Phalsbourg and then head to Carthago City in Aulendorf Germany for a stay over on their Aire. The Aire in Phalsbourg had a very interesting approach through a narrow tunnel but fine for our 2.9m high 2.25m width Motorhome. There were 4 x 240v connection points on a single service tower to plug in to. The electricity runs for a couple of hours and then stops so you can't use it overnight but ok for cooking or recharging batteries. There are 60 spaces to park-up in total. In the Afternoon we explore the town which is 2 minutes walk through the entrance tunnel, we go to a great little bar called Ami Fritz. The next morning before heading off we ride to Lutzelbourg, a beautiful town on a large canal with a great castle/chateau to explore. The route we took there was challenging because of the overgrown tracks and steepness in places. The route back along the road was much easier although that is also steep. There is an Aire on site at Carthago City, no need to book in and there are all the usual services of Fresh, Grey, Black and Electric - make sure you have a few 50c coins! The next day while our Motorhome is repaired we walk into Aulendorf for a breakfast. On returning we browse around all the Carthago and Malibu Motorhomes/Vans, the credit card was staying firmly in the pocket!! Next was our own personal tour of the Factory by Larissa, it was amazing to see and learn how these complex machines are put together - no filming allowed though!
