The BCOSF crew heads to the stunning Browns Bay Resort for their annual charity chum derby, an event everyone looks forward to each year. Although chum fishing was closed down by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) just days before the derby, the event organizers quickly adapted and switched the focus to hatchery coho. While the coho were elusive, the energy was high, and the fishing spirit stayed strong! Participants enjoyed a fantastic weekend filled with fun, camaraderie, and fishing—proceeds from the derby were donated to the Greenways Land Trust, supporting environmental conservation efforts.
