Rick Nelson sings the unreleased Rock 'N' Roll Fool from his final 1985 sessions

Rick Nelson performs "Rock 'N' Roll Fool", taken from his final 1985 studio sessions for Curb Records. It was most likely recorded in August 1985 at Baby-O Studios in Hollywood with longtime arranger Jimmie Haskell behind the console. Rick's road band, led by lead guitarist Bobby Neal, pianist Andy Chapin, drummer Ricky Intveld, and bassist Pat Woodward, are the musicians. Rick recorded the song as a favor to its songwriter, Bill Rowe, as Rowe had aided the singer financially. Without question, "Rock 'N' Roll Fool" is a driving up-tempo track that could have had chart potential if released as a single. Although the audio fidelity is severely compromised, it is the best we have. The sessions are still officially unreleased as questions remain over who exactly owns the rights, and some family and friends believe Rick's final vocals were largely unfinished.
