Snook Fishing Sanibel Island Beaches | Plus RARE Sawfish and Raided Sea Turtle Nest!

Hi everyone! This was a super fun day fishing with a long time friend. We did not catch a whole lot of fish, but we did catch quality fish! Together we landed one big snook (lost more) and a SAWFISH! This is a super rare species and federally-designated endangered species in Florida. It is important to handle them properly and safely release them. Sightings and catching are encouraged to be reported to FWC. We also stumbled upon a raided sea turtle nest, likely broken into by some coyotes which have created a resident population on Sanibel. Sanibel is a local favorite sea turtle nesting spot. In general, we had some calm winds and a high tide that was falling during our time fishing.
