Tuna melts are one of my favorite dish as it is so easy to put together and my whole family loves it. Making it in the air fryer gives the bread the perfect texture. This recipe can make 4 sandwiches, unless you are like me who likes extra filling, then 3 sandwiches. Yes, I know, the sandwich looks very dark and it is not because its burned. I used whole grain bread and so has the darker color. It was cooked to perfection! If you like this recipe, please click subscribe and like and share with your family and friends. Air Fryer Tuna Melt Ingredients: Tuna – 2 cans (8 oz total) drained Bread – 8 slices (I put extra filling in mine, so I used only 6 slices to make 3 sandwiches) Salt – 1/8 tsp or as needed Black Pepper – 1/8 tsp or as needed Celery – 2 Tbsp chopped Onion – 2 Tbsp chopped Dijon Mustard – 1/2 Tbsp Mayonnaise – 2 Tbsp for filling Mayonnaise – as needed to spread on sandwich Cheddar Cheese – 2 slices per sandwich Tomato – 2 slices per sandwich Instructions: 1. Drain the tuna really well 2. Add salt, black pepper, celery, onion, dijon mustard and mayonnaise and mix well 3. Spread mayonnaise on one side of the bread slices 4. Flip the bread and add a slice of cheese to the non-mayo side of the bread slice 5. Add tuna, tomato, a slice of cheese and top with another slice of bread with mayo on the top of the bread 6.
