Boat wax, kind of. Fire Glaze + This stuff makes me happy on the inside! Not a Ceramic or polymer.

You grind and grind to perfect gelcoat, clean/strip the oils and apply until you barely see it on the surface, wipe with a microfiber towel and enjoy the most cost effective way to protect gelcoat that I've ever seen, in 17 years of beating the hell out of boats. I use a DeWalt DWP849X If I'm going for perfection in gelcoat, I don't use a ceramic (unless a very new boat) I prefer the ease, cost and reliability of Fire Glaze by RMP. I find it dries rather fast and as I'm in a hot climate, I use Fire Glaze instead of Restructure Marine Polish. I like their Mirasol spray for all the interior furnishings as well.
