Liebherr - Building bridges at the Miniatur Wunderland

​The largest model railway in the world is bursting at the seams. On 1,500 square meters, the popular “Miniatur Wunderland” in Hamburg shows train routes and landscapes from all over the world. In a spectacular crane operation, the Paderborn-based crane rental company Hofmann set a 25-meter-long and 38-tonne bridge over the adjacent canal with its Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 mobile crane in the historic Speicherstadt. The footbridge now connects the neighboring quayside warehouses. From 2022, both visitors and the small railways will then be able to cross the bridge over the canal to the neighboring building. There, the passionate model makers now have a further 3,000 square meters of space to create new systems.
