DARKTIDE | Increase FPS WITHOUT Sacrificing Visuals | Optimized Graphics Settings Guide

Update: Texture Quality and Mesh Quality were added with the most recent patch, here are my thoughts on the new settings: Update 2: Patch 13 hit recently and it seems they may have optimized the worker thread settings, I am getting good results at setting threads to -1 or - 2 of max. I would recommend trying a higher setting now and see if it works for you. Texture Quality: Set this to High and only lower it if your GPU doesn't have enough VRAM Mesh Quality: Scales from 0.5 to 5.0 and essentially controls pop in textures/meshes: 0.5 - Pretty noticeable performance boost but this gives extremely noticeable pop in 1.0 - Costs 4-5 fps more but reduces pop in marginally. Still very noticeable. 2.0 - Costs roughly 2-3 fps more but reduces pop in to a more noticeable margin. 3.0 - Costs roughly 1-2 fps more 4.0 - Costs roughly 2-3 fps more 5.0 - costs roughly 1-2 fps more (Perhaps the hub is not big enough for this to matter as much) Optimal settings seem to be somewhere from 2-3, but the fps cost from 3-5 is small enough that it may be worth it for you to purge any pop in that dares show itself. The difference from 0.5 to 5.0 is roughly 11-13 fps in my tests, with the most noticeable fps increases being from 0.5-2. This hit is worth taking imo due to the horrific pop in. 3-5 May have bigger hits in very large open areas. My tests were only done in the hub. My recommendation is to set it anywhere from 2-3, or 5 depending how much pop in bugs you. BONUS SETTING: Enable Anisotrophic filtering x16 in your Nvidia Control Panel Program Settings: Darktide. Costs almost nothing (1fps) but improves the quality of textures at a high angle to your camera. Also consider setting Darktide's Power Management setting to Prefer Maximum Performance since this game can easily get CPU bound, which may cause your gpu to throttle down otherwise. If there are any other tips that have worked for you, please share it for your Brothers in the comments! CADIA STANDS BROTHERS!
