Bells of the church:    • Bellringing at St Peter, Burnley, Lancashire   The clock of St Peter's Church in Burnley, Lancashire strikes 4 o'clock with Westminster Chimes. I rang on these bells and you can see and hear in the video link above. The bells here are a 18cwt ring of 10 cast by John Taylor and Co tuned to E. The back 8 bells cast in 1924 and the two treble bells cast in 2003 to make it one of the finest rings in Lancashire. This church is the oldest building in Burnley. The chimes are rather quiet, because I think there is heavy sound control, and that allows numerous peals and quarter peals to be rung at this church.
