I get asked this question a lot here on the channel. I'm not gonna lie though, it's definitely a grind, especially if you're a beginner to the Division 2. But once you understand how it works and how to actually get your weapons and gear proficient, then it becomes easier to level. At first, it may seem like rocket science, especially if you're a beginner. But what I'm gonna do for today's video is briefly explain how the expertise system works in a nutshell. Then I'm gonna give you guys some fast ways to level it up. So basically, the expertise system is a way for players to progress beyond their gear score limits, giving players a way to permanently enhance their gear, weapons, and skills beyond their standard roles. Now, in order to achieve this you need to first become proficient with any given weapon, gear piece, or item. So in other words, let's say you wanted to upgrade your favorite weapon or gear piece. Well, you'll need to become proficient with it first, and you can do this by gaining proficiency XP, which you can do by either donating weapons and gear as junk or by having the item equipped that you're trying to get proficient. This is a good way to get any item in the Division 2 that you don't have proficient, like the eagle bearer for example, or any other raid exclusive exotic for that matter. So if you're starting from zero expertise as a complete beginner, then countdowns gonna be your best friend. In the Division 2, countdown is known to drop a high volume of loot, so the rewards are great. Once you're done with all your brand and gearsets, and when you have most of your weapons done. Things will slow down significantly and countdown won't be as effective. So you're gonna need a decent amount of in-game credits to do this named items method. It works really well for getting the named items proficient. But if you do really have a lot of in-game credits, not a problem, i'll show you guys a great way to farm them. So what we're gonna be doing is visiting all of the vendors at all of the settlements in Washington, including the bridge and Haven settlements in New York.
