In this video, we explore the hulking remains of the MV Captiyannis, which met its demise during a storm in 1974. This shipwreck lies on a mudbank just off Ardmore point near Helensburgh, a haven to wildlife, and a popular attraction to tourists and locals alike. On the night of the storm local Helensburgh people took the rescued crew in and gave them hot baths and food. The authorities then tried to protect the wreck from looters.
