In the Mahaparinirvana story the Buddha gets tired because of dysentery. He rests under a tree. Pukkusa the Mallas son was on his way to Pava (identified by me as Parsa village) when he sees the Buddha under the tree. He sits next to the Buddha and asks him questions which the Buddha replies and explains. The Buddha preaches to him. This is Lal Parsa village where this interaction took place. Parsa has a strong verbal resemblance to Pukkusa in the Mahaparinirvana story so the latter is certainly a mispronounced word of the former. Parsa is preceded with Lal which in the local language means son. It is stated Pukkusa was the son of the Malla. So Lal Parsa is definitely Pukkusa the Mallahs son. This video is of Lal Parsa village on the northern banks of the Sikrana river.
