This over 20-minute film about the Christian Müller organ provides an overview of the construction history and the unique character of the instrument. The film was made in collaboration with city organist Anton Pauw and was made financially possible by the Association of Friends of the Grote of St. Bavo Church. The production team for this film consists of filmmaker Marcella Kuiper, Gerrit Bosch and Maria Bij de Vaate. What else is this movie about? Gerrit Bosch: “City organist Anton Pauw talks about, among other things, the famous Vox Humana and makes it heard. We dive into the organ case to see what this special pipe looks like and how it is tuned. Anton explains in a beautiful way how the organ is put together and what the possibilities are of this famous instrument. And of course there is attention for that major foil project by the Flentrop company a few years ago. But there really is more. The nice thing about a film is that you can show and hear things. For Marcella, Maria, Anton and me it was fun and exciting to work on this film.” The premiere of this film took place during the annual Bavo Day, on Saturday, October 7, 2023.
