BY SPECIAL REQUEST #11. This one goes out to Juli Draney (and JC Styles) who both requested “If It’s Magic” by Stevie Wonder, one of the greatest living musicians and songwriters, a gigantic influence on me and pretty much every other musician. Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever heard another musician talk trash about Stevie’s music. That says a lot to me because it’s usually not hard to find a musician who isn’t a fan of some other incredibly successful musician. This song always stood out to me, although I had never played it before this arrangement. Just the kinds of requests I was hoping for! Full video on my YT channel (link in bio). A note about the arrangement: generally I go to great lengths to keep songs in the keys that they were written in, but for this one I moved it from E major to G major to facilitate the arpeggios and make sure the lowest note in the arrangement was the low E to better emulate the harp playing.
