Sky News host Alan Jones says the Queensland Liberal National Party are “worthy losers” of the state election and their Head Office “needs to be cleaned out”. It comes after the October 31 Queensland election which saw Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and her Labor government win a third consecutive term in power. “This mob (Queensland LNP) weren’t ready for government or worthy of government,” Mr Jones said. “Consider this, Tim Nicholls is a former leader, he has been in the blue-ribbon seat of Clayfield since 2006. He fell over the line on Saturday but could not command 50 per cent of the vote. “He’s been there 14 years, the bulk of the electorate don’t want him.” Mr Jones also pointed to the LNP’s Michael Crandon who has been member for Coomera since 2009, he also “fell over the line”. “Labor received a swing of 5.3 per cent, these are the seat warmers,” he said. “There were no surprises on Saturday night … I need people who will play the game differently. “The Head Office needs to be cleaned out. “In politics as in life, if you do what you did last week, you will get last week’s result." Mr Jones said it is a “grim picture” but the “LNP in Queensland are worthy losers”. “Remember, success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it,” he said. “The only thing you get without hard work is failure.”
