You may have heard of a keto old fashioned cocktail before, but were worried it wasn’t keto. Well I’ve made a great Keto old fashioned which is the perfect keto friendly alcohol drink to have to keep it keto! What makes keto alcohol a keto friendly alcohol choice? Well, it starts with a keto friendly alcohol (the hard tac you actually drinking). Then you move on to the other ingredients, ensuring thay are low carb. This keto old fashioned ticks all the boxes for a keto friendly alcohol drinks. And did I mention this keto alcohol drink is RIDICULOUSLY tasty? This keto old fashioned is smooth, full of flavour and easy to drink. And the keto old fashioned is one of the classiest looking keto alcoholic drinks you can have! It will impress your keto and non-keto friends alike, guaranteed! You don’t have to tell them it is a keto friendly alcohol drinks! Keto friendly alchol drinks can be done – you just need to choose wisely. Why is this keto old fashioned so keto friendly alcohol? It use Bourbon, which is 0g carbs keto alcohol. We then use some water (also keto, ha ha). Then we substitute the sugar with a sweetener, erythritol in my case, to mimick the sugar in the keto old fashioned. The sweetnere must be powedered, which can be done by blending it up in your blender briefly. It just mixes in the keto old fashioned cocktail much better that way. We then add the bitters, which is simply a blend of herbs and other natural substances, and it is also 0g carbs. You only 2 shakes of the bitters in this keot old fashioned! Then you have the lemon rind and orange rind in this keto friendly alcohol drink. These impart some wonderful flavours and aesthetic appeal to your keto old fashioned, and won’t add any carbs to the drink. Then it is just ice for your keto friendly alcoholic drink and you have your keto old fashioned! So there are no carbs in this keto old fashioned. Of course, alcohol (even keto alcohol) needs to be used in moderation. When someone in ketosis is drinking alcohol (including keto alcohol with 0g carbs), their body metablizes the alcohol first. So while this keto alcohol if being metabolized, it is not metabolizing fat, and not producing new ketones. So your fat burning will be shut off for a period of time, but it shouldn’t kick you out of ketosis if done is moderation and you choose keto friendly alcohol drinks, like this keto old fashioned cocktail. I have to admit, I am a fan of an alcoholic drink from time to time, but I always keep it keto with choosing keto friendly alcohol drinks.
