This is an edited VOD from my Twitch stream recorded on 9/29/25. Greetings Shapeshifters! A channel goal I had for a while was that if I were to reach Affiliate, I would make my next major playthrough a Platinum Nuzlocke. Welp, we hit that goal, so now here I am in a new adventure! I love Platinum and am happy to be playing it on stream in a Nuzlocke fashion, but man, I have never beaten a Nuzlocke or Soul Link before, so I don't know how this will work out... I may crash and burn, or everything might be fine! Who knows... Welp, time to get to work and make progress to beating the game as I will need to complete 1 run before beginning the next playthrough anyway, so here we go!!!!! Hope you all enjoy the Nuzlocke madness! Win Condition: I need to beat the Elite Four and the Champion Cynthia without having my team wiped out. Pokémon Platinum Nuzlocke Rules: 1. Completely Random Starters 2. All Pokémon are Randomized 3. All In-Game Trades are Randomized 4. Trainers have all Random Pokémon 5. HM's are fully compatible with any Pokémon 6. I can only catch the first Pokémon on a route 7. All Pokémon must be nicknamed 8. If a Pokémon faints, then it is treated as dead and can't be used for the remainder of the run 9. If I run out of Pokémon, then I must roll a new seed and start the run over again 10. I am restricted to stay the same or under the max level of the next gym leader/champion, and can't use any Pokémon that are over that level 11. I can only have 1 Pokémon of each primary typing in the party 12. Extras ^ Faster Text ^ Random Pokémon in the Catching Tutorial ^ Rival keeps his starter throughout the game ^ Shiny Clause: If I find a shiny, then we get a free Pokémon catch ^ Dupe Clause: If I already own the Pokémon or Pokémon evolution path, then I have to encounter a new Pokémon to catch. *Even if the Pokémon is dead ^ Legendary Clause: I can catch the pre-arranged Legendary boss battles even if I caught a Pokémon on the route *Conditionals to make my life not miserable XD maybe...: 1. If I fail 5 runs, then I randomize field items & I get to upgrade the typing effectiveness to mimic the current generation. *Maybe I'll get more EXP Shares!!!!! 2. If I fail 10 runs, then I can remove rule 11 and every trade mon can evolve by leveling up. *I can have multiple Pokémon of the same type in the party 3. If I fail 20 runs, then I will remove rule 10 and can go a little over the gym level caps & I will get a faster XP bar. *I won't go too far over the levels 4. If I fail 30 runs, then I can continue playing even if I have a team wipe, but I must use a new team from my spare box. 5. If I fail 40 runs, then I can use a single revive that I find off the floor. *Would be heck if random items don't give it to me XD 6. If I fail 50 runs, then I can use unlimited revives that I find off the floor and purchase a single revive. 7. If I fail 100+ runs, then... I hate it here... I will adjust the XP curves and the trainer Pokémon to make them easier.
