Counting numbers using fingers | Special Needs Education | Autism | Maths

Aakash originally learnt numbers using beads and stones. Both Addition and Subtraction using beads and stones followed. Then we moved on to additions and subtractions using dots. Aakash became comfortable with the dots but could not progress to doing small equations (e.g.2+2)in his mind or recall from memory. And when we did 2 x 2 digits multiplication the addition that was needed there was difficult/messier with dots. So I decided to switch completely to using fingers for counting and for addition and subtraction as well. And here is a video of me and Aakash demonstrating counting using fingers.
