Creamy and Rich Fish Stew made with Coconut Milk, Tomatoes, Green Chilies and Pepper. INGREDIENTS Marination : Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp Pepper powder - 1 tsp Salt Lemon juice - 1 tbsp King fish / Neymeen - 500g Curry : Oil Cinnamon - 1 inch Cardamom - 2 no.s Cloves - 2 no.s Ginger - 1/2 inch Garlic - 6 cloves Onion - 1 Green chilly - 3 no.s Salt Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp Coriander powder - 1 tsp Pepper powder - 1 tsp Thin coconut milk - 1 1/2 cup Tomato - 1 Curry leaves Thick coconut milk - 1 cup Coconut oil - 1 tbsp PREPARATION 1. In a bowl, add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp pepper powder, salt and 1 tbsp lemon juice. Combine well and marinate 500g kingfish / neymeen for 20 mins. 2. Add few spoons of oil in hot pan and shallow fry the fish for 5 mins on medium flame. Keep the fish fry aside. 3. In the same oil, add 1 inch cinnamon, 2 cardamoms, 2 cloves, sliced 1/2 inch ginger and 6 sliced garlic cloves. Sauté for a minute. 4. To this add, one sliced onion, 3 spilt open green chillies and salt to taste. Sauté till it turns translucent on medium flame. 5. Now add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp coriander powder and 1 tsp pepper powder. Sauté for a minute on medium flame. 6. Add 1 1/2 cups of thin coconut milk and let it boil on medium flame. To this, add fried fish and cover and cook for 5 mins on low - medium flame. 7. To this add round tomato slices, curry leaves and 1 cup thick coconut milk. Combine carefully and turn off the flame. Make sure not to boil!
