Part 2 of an Interview with World Famous DJ Supreme for the Bronx Hip Hop Oral History Project Interview with the World Famous Grand Master Supreme on April 17, 2025 for the Bronx Hip Hop Oral History Project. The World Famous DJ Supreme (a.k.a. Tyree Pressley; p.k.a. DJ Tree, and DJ supreme) is one of the earliest DJs from the pre- Hip Hop era of the early 1970s South Bronx. In part 2, The World Famous DJ Supreme begins by speaking about certain unspoken stories in Hip Hop. He dives into many of the early Hip Hop DJ duos, groups, and collaborations. DJ Supreme speaks of early clubs where many of the early pioneers frequented. Supreme talks to us of early MCs he worked with and witnessed rapping. He then takes us to an unexpected visit to the home of his brother DJ Hutch (a.k.a. Cecil Pressley) where we conduct a short impromptu interview with Hutch and a listen to a short DJ performance. 40 Dawgs, DJ Supreme's manager participates in parts of the interview. The interviewer is Pastor Crespo, Jr., the Research Librarian and Archivist for The Bronx County Historical Society Research Center. The Bronx Hip Hop Oral History Project is a project of The Bronx County Archives at The Bronx County Historical Society Research Library.
