This video will show you how to make basic adjustments for fit. To adjust depth, there is a white pull tab on the right side of the seat. Pull forward and then pull the seat forward or back. The child should NOT be in the seat when this adjustment is made. The back height is adjusted by pinching the two white tabs on either side of the middle of the frame. Pinch both simultaneously and then raise/lower the backrest. The child should NOT be in the chair when this is done. Adjustments for fit can be made prior to putting the child in the chair by measuring the following: Height: measure in inches the length of the trunk from seat bottom to top of the shoulders. Raise the seat height to the same amount of inches measured on the child. Depth: measure from the crease of the knee to the back of the buttocks in sitting. The depth can be brought in/out to the measurement of the child. Lateral height: measure from seat bottom to two finger widths under the armpit. Raise/lower the laterals to equal the length measured on the child from seat base to the top of the lateral. For a child that spreads their legs, adductor pads can be added to the chair(not shown in video). Always ensure that the lap belt or pelvic harness is appropriately snug and that the neck portion of the chest harness(top scoop) is at least three finger widths below the neck. Always consult your DME provider and Physical Therapist for positioning advice.
