The Interstitium

Stephen Elliott incorporates recent scientific advances published in Nature and The Scientific American into Coherent Breathing theory. Elliott adds "the interstitium" to his simple model of circulatory physiology and explains the relevance. The interstitium is "the organ" that supports the lymphatic system. Lymph is concentrated interstitial fluid - interstitial fluid is made up of proteins that have leaked out of the equally pervasive capillary circulation. Elliott argues that diaphragm motion facilitates "flow" within the body, all flow, of everything, including flow from the capillary membrane to the cells, flow which must be facilitated by the interstitium, this relating to a key finding of the research, that the interstitium actively facilitates flow. Researchers from multiple universities were involved in conducting the study employing confocal laser imaging, the technology apparently patented by ValenTx.
