HOW TO REMOVE RC TIRES | Using the bake method

Here I use the "baking" method to remove old tires from your RC car rims so you can reuse them to mount on new tires. It surprisingly DOESN'T make your kitchen smell like burning rubber, but it's no t-bone steak. ;) You will need: -Old set of tires/rims -Thin cyanoacrylate (CA) / super glue (super thin) -New tires/foam inserts -Oven -1000 grit sandpaper To remove existing tires from rims: Set your oven to 300 degrees (F) (or higher if it doesn't come off the first time). Place your old tires/rims onto a baking sheet. When oven reaches temperature, turn it off and place the baking sheet into the oven. Wait 5-10 minutes. Remove tires from the oven. Using an oven mit or towel, pull the tires away from the rims. They should be easy to remove. If not, place tires back in the oven for 5 more minutes. Clean up scratches around rims using 1000 grit sand paper. To remount new tires: Place your new tires/foam around the old rim. Pull away a section of tire at a time and place a small amount of super thing CA into the bead. Reseat the tire and hold in place for several seconds (it should be an instant bond!). Do this until your entire tire has been glued down. Good luck!
