Douglas Fir Boxes | Alex Olson

This video documents the crafting of two boxes I made from Douglas Fir, originally milled on Stuart Island in 1998. On each box, the four sides are cut from a single board to allow the grain patterns to wrap continuously around the piece’s exterior.
