My aluminum tri-spinner ( http://amzn.to/2pteqdO ) just wouldn't spin for more than a few seconds. There was clearly a rub that was stopping the bearing from doing its job. This is my 5-minute fix. This is a popular problem with spinners: you drop it and the bearing goes out of alignment. The bearing is probably fine, and the hand spinner is probably fine, but the bearing placement is off.
