Uganda to close schools early after eight children die of Ebola

Uganda will close all schools in two weeks’ time following the deaths of eight pupils from the Ebola virus. The country’s first lady and Education Minister Janet Museveni says there has been 23 confirmed cases amongst schools children. Meanwhile a lockdown has been extended in two districts that are the epicentre of the outbreak. The World Health Organisation says they’ve been more than 150 confirmed and probable cases since September and 64 deaths. Let’s go live to Rhoda Odhiambo in neighbouring Kenya.
