British Envoy Praises President Hichilema’s Commitment to Democracy

By Samuel Machishi British High Commissioner to Zambia Rebecca Terzeon has praised President Hakainde Hichilema for reaffirming his commitment to free and fair elections and the promotion of good governance. Reacting to the President’s address to Parliament on national values and principles, Ms. Terzeon said Zambia has a proud democratic history and expressed confidence in the country’s electoral process. Meanwhile, Information and Media Minister Cornelius Mweetwa said the President’s speech has given citizens renewed hope, citing progress made in governance and social sectors. Former Vice President Nevers Mumba called on political leaders to reflect integrity and patriotism in their conduct.
