First clinical implementation in Europe with an MLC linac technique Find more about the event at https://varianusermeeting.gr/ Learn more about us at https://www.papapostolou.gr/ The 2nd Varian User Meeting was held on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, in Athens with great success. More than 190 participants gathered at the 2nd Varian User Meeting. Specifically, more than 170 Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Physicists, Technologists, Radiotherapy Specialists attended together with health professionals from public and private sector bodies from all over Greece. Seventeen (17) exceptional speakers presented their perspectives through a range of viewpoints and experiences. Through their knowledge, they captivated the audience and set the tone of the conference while delivering content in a memorable way. The event was honored with the presence of the President and Presidium of the Hellenic Society of Radiation Oncology, the President of the Hellenic Association of Medical Physicists. From the 2nd Varian User Meeting the participation of cancer patients could not be absent, for whom we all work together, and represented by the President of the Hellenic Cancer Federation (ELLOK). Last but not least, the Vice-Rector, of the National and Kapodistrtian University of Athens, and representatives of the Regional Health Authorities (YPE) in Greece, that belong to the Ministry of Health, who plan, coordinate, supervise and control the operations of all health service providers within their territories, were present.
