CELESTE (Jean Charnaux) feat. JEAN CHARNAUX (acoustic guitar) & RODRIGO BOTTER MAIO (flute) Dear friends, I hope you all are doing well! I am so happy to bring you the video Nr. 106 of the serie COM ROD NA MUSICA, MAKING MUSIC WITH MY FRIENDS and featuring this incredible young composer and guitarist from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: JEAN CHARNAUX! A LITTLE ABOUT US AND THIS CONCERT: We believe that it was during the year of 2015. Suddenly a friend of mine called to tell me that a great guitarist was spending some days in Zurich and he was even in my area, Kreis 6 :-) Then he called me and I invited him to come to my studio, what he did. But before that I made a joke with him asking: look, before you come can you please tell me what is the subdominant of F? Then he sad: are your serious? ha ha ha. Just some hours later he was already at my studio and he made a lot of music together! At the beginning I showed him my choros and he loved it, what made me really happy. I remember that at the end of song he told me: let's play it again, I will accompany you in another way. And he did, the song was completely different. At the end: let's play it again? Let me try another way of playing this. And he did again. Incredible and I was so impressed. I believe he came like 3 times in my studio and the other day he showed me some of his compositions and I remember how I loved this jazz walz called CELEST, even though in the chart he writes something like latin waltz of something like that. After I invited him for a video at some point he recorded it and sent it to me, such a nice surprise! Than I recorded my part, using for the first time my new Brazilian wood Flute head made with JACARANDÁ wood. I love it :-) Thanks for all those moments my friend! We made so much music in those days.
