Exploring Grand Island National Recreation Area

Grand Island is one of the newest assets in the National Forest Service inventory. It was added in the early 1990s. It was formerly a private game preserve and privately owned. Today, one can explore the miles of roads, trails and many beaches. I joined an excursion of the Fortune Bay Expedition Team. FBET is a great organization with some highly capable adventurers who explore far reaches of the world. They have many classes and events that help others reach their full potential. I retired from Fortune Bay as its director almost 2 years ago. I returned to help with the Grand Island Excursion. Check em out at http://www.fortunebay.org
