Backing a Bow With Rawhide

My first try at backing a bow with rawhide. I was working on red oak deflexed recurve when I noticed a lot of drying cracks on a back of the bow. They looked bad and were deep so I decided to back it. I was using cow rawhide. Although it ended up succesfully I would change a few things in the process. Next time I will be backing a bow with cow rawhide I will have to thin it before and wrap it after applying. I couldn't do this becouse the hide was to stiff. Perhaps using different kind of glue would be a good idea. The bow ended up being 56" ntn drawing 35lbs at 25". Making my bows I learn all the time.
