A former farm turned municipal home in 1917, this place served various purposes as a residence and care facility. The current buildings were completed in the early 1930s and expanded in the 1950s. Over its long history, patients lived here, dealing with everything from mental health issues to tuberculosis. Until 1991, the building operated as a nursing home, after which it was sold to a private owner who used it to house Russian and Thai berry pickers. However, for the past ten years, this slowly deteriorating building has been abandoned. The building has suffered severely from vandalism, and nature has also started to take its toll on this once-impressive structure. As many of my followers know, I'm particularly passionate about exploring basements... And here, I found an extraordinary spot: a basement with another basement! Many stories surround this building. There are rumors of shady dealings behind bars, drug needles found on-site, traces of vandalism, and even deliberately set fires. It’s said that the basement once served as a temporary morgue, rumored to be the center of paranormal phenomena. Are these just local tales, or could there be some truth to them? In the 2000s, the municipality sold the property to a Russian company. Initial promises to revive the local economy went unfulfilled, raising locals' suspicions about the buyer's true intentions. The property has since changed hands, but any active use was short-lived, and the building was left to decay. Join me on a journey to explore this abandoned and deserted place.
