On Monday 12th June 2023, steam locomotives 3526 & 3642 ran an unassisted round trip from Bathurst to Orange as part of the 2023 "Bathurst Steam Weekend". This was the first time either locomotive had been seen in this part of NSW for several years and as such, warranted a chase. In this film, the second in my "Great West Steam" series, the train is seen a total of ten times: Six on the westbound run and four on the eastbound. The westbound run made a couple of stops en route, allowing it to be captured six times. Meanwhile, the eastbound run put up a fight, so it is only captured four times, for a total of ten appearances at ten different locations. WP45 "Outback XPLorer" also makes an appearance at a level crossing on Orange's outskirts, allowing a rare opportunity to include shots from the Broken Hill Line. I believe this is only the second time the route has appeared on TheBritFromOz, the first being back in 2017 in "A Week Out West".
