This video goes over the process of making "Water" bases and dioramas for your miniatures and more. In this case... I don't use a miniature so much as I use a small statue. Anything I do in the large scale in this video, can be done on small miniatures, just use smaller proportions. :) I use the Waterdeep Walking Statue / Honorable Knight figure from Wizards of the Coast as an excuse to make a resin Water Diorama as a base for the figure. I have never made a realistic diorama like this before, especially one with water effects, let alone moving water and bubbles in the water etc. I tried out a lot of things that I THOUGHT would work that just ended up working out. I am really proud and pleased with the results of the build. This is also a great exercise in cork basing for miniatures for d&d or warhammer or any tabletop game really. I had never worked with cork basing in such a large volume, so this really got me learning hands-on very quickly! It's actually really cheap / affordable compared to what you would think this whole thing cost, since most of the materials you buy in bulk amounts, so you could easily make 5 sets of dioramas for the price of one, since there are minimum amounts you have to buy with everything.
