Shanghai Children's Medical Center admitted a two-day-old baby with giant lymphangioma and complex congenital heart disease recently. The baby, naming Tongtong, was born on June 7. In less than a month, he went through two major operations. There are a long scar on his right neck and various monitoring devices attached on his chest. Tongtong suffers from a lymphatic malformation formed in the fetus, as well as total anomalous pulmonary venous drainage (TAPVD). Medical experts said that the incidence of neonatal lymphangioma in China is about 2%, and TAPVD also accounts for about 2% of congenital heart disease.
