Hello! here is part 2 of day 24 in Africa. It was quite eventful day for us and a lots of struggles to get trough jungle and make in time for last "ferry". We fell multiple times on slippery mud. The struggle was real as we were racing against time yet again, but this time it was a bit more extreme as there were no place to stay for the night, and it was getting darker and darker by minutes. (we are not camping) When we reached the boat we were sceptical about it as it was our fist time encountering something like that. We put motorcycle on the boat, as well as all of our belongings . It was scary. I was afraid to even sneeze. Even tho the river was calm with no waves the little boat was rocking.. As soon as we got of the boat, we started to drive as fast as possible on the beaten road to find an accommodation where to stay. Safety is our priority. We found few places but they were well above our price range so we found another place that costed us 16k CFA (25 eur) ! It was mind blowing how place like that could cost so much. it had no running water, no wifi, no tv, no fridge, ac not working no fan bugs everywhere, dirty sheets... nightmare! Electricity was off after 1 hour of us getting there, so we couldn’t even charge our things. Overall the attitude was not the best. Lack of information from the staff about the electricity being switched off and no comfort for the price... Overall, at least we found place to stay and were safe. Still grateful.
