On recommendation, we drove to Belgian Limburg, more precisely to Leopoldsburg. There's supposed to be a campsite here that we'd really like. Well, what can I say? It's true. The Camperplaats De Lido offers all campers an unobstructed view of the water, fishing is permitted for all campers, even without a license. And then it all comes together – the finest decorating ideas. You immediately get that unspoiled holiday feeling. Behind the campervan site is the Bevelo Canal with hiking and biking trails, in front of you are the two ponds and open fields, simply wonderful. Everything is very quiet, very clean, and incredibly friendly. But that's not enough. Ideas have been implemented here that left us speechless. Not only is there so much to discover, like divers, campers, and large dogs, but there's also a rustic common room, a hobbit hut, hot tubs, and a restaurant where you can sit in boats. We've never experienced so much originality before. The town center of Leopoldburg is about 1.5 km away, and shopping facilities are about 1 km away. There's a lot to discover, as the area around our campsite turned out to be steeped in history. To be honest, I didn't want to go home on Sunday evening, we felt so comfortable here at Dirk's.
