Most visitors come to Saint-Omer Cathedral for the great organ. It dominates the space, both visually and sonically, and shapes how the building is usually heard. But few people realize that there is another instrument inside the cathedral — quieter, more discreet, and almost invisible. Hidden from view, the choir organ remains largely unnoticed, even by regular visitors. Its position and role give it a completely different character: more intimate, more direct, and closer to the architectural space around it. Instead of filling the entire nave, it speaks from within, revealing details that are often lost in larger soundscapes. In this video, I perform the Fugue by Josse François-Joseph Benaut on this rarely heard instrument. The clarity and structure of the piece allow the choir organ to show its own voice and personality, distinct from the main organ yet deeply connected to the cathedral. This performance is part of Hidden Organ, a series dedicated to instruments that are present but often overlooked — organs you walk past without noticing, and sounds that deserve to be heard. 00:00 Intro 00:13 Fugue
